Q:  What is the cost of using Web Teller?
A: There is no charge for using Gerber Federal Credit Union's Web Teller service.

 

Q: What type of browser do I need to access this service?
A: Web Teller has been developed to function best with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 service pack 1 or higher.  You may obtain it at microsoft.com.  Web Teller may not function correctly with BETA versions and MAC users with Safari browsers will find better results with Microsoft Internet Explorer.

 

Q: How secure is this site?
A:  Web Teller offers the highest industry security standard for all transaction types.  It has dual pin/password verification, 128 bit SSL encryption, and firewalls to safeguard your accounts.  To protect your privacy, Web Teller will automatically logo out after 10 minutes.

 

Q: How far back in history can I retrieve a paid copy?
A:   You can view up to the last 90 (ninety) days of paid check copies and account history.  For history and check copies past the 90 (ninety) days you need to contact the credit union.

 

Q: Why does my session occasionally time out?
A: The system is set to automatically time out after 10 (ten) minutes.  This is for your security.  In the event you have to leave your computer, someone else will not be able to access your account.  

 

Q: When I enrolled I accepted the "Terms and Conditions" on Web Teller.  Why do I occasionally have to accept them again?
A:  Any time changes are made to the "Terms and Conditions," whether by change in Gerber Federal Credit Union policies or necessitated by State and Federal regulations, they must be accepted again.  

 

Q: How do I transfer money into another member account?
A: First, click on the "Other Members" link located beneath the Maintenance menu on the left navigation bar.  Under "To ADD an Authorization" enter the member number and member last name of the account to which you would like to make a transfer.  The next screen will confirm that the transfer has been successfully added.  To transfer funds to that account, select the "Transfer Funds" link located beneath the Move $ menu on the left navigation bar.  The transfer account you added will be found by clicking the drop down menu beneath "To Share Account."  Follow the on-screen directions to complete your transaction.

 

Q: Can a partial payment be made towards a Mortgage loan with Web Teller?
A: No, payments to a Mortgage loan must be equal or greater than the monthly scheduled payment.

 

Q: If I forget my password what do I do?
A: If you would like to be issued a new password or pin, please fax a request to "Web Teller Services" at (231) 924-7181.  Please include the following:

    *  Your Member number
    *  A copy of your driver's license
    *  A telephone number where you may be reached during business hours (8:30am - 5:00pm)
    *  Your signature with your name either typed or printed below
